Paul McCartney in Concert at The United Center - October 18, 2005

Paul McCartney kicked off his 2014 Out There tour on Saturday night (April 19th) in Montevideo, Uruguay. The show, which took place at Estadio Centenario, basically featured the same set as McCartney’s recent North American and Japanese shows, with a total of four songs from his 2013 New album featured in the setlist; the title track, “Queenie Eye,” “Save Us” and “Everybody Out There.” “Save Us,” which has already been released to radio as New‘s third single, has taken over as the coveted second song of the show — a spot legendarily reserved for “Macca’s” 1973 Wings classic “Jet” — which has been temporarily dropped.

Other changes were relatively minor; a pair of 1967 Beatles favorites — “Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite!” and “Your Mother Should Know” — were swapped out for the rarely performed Let It Be rave-up, “The One After 909″ and the recently-added New material.
