The warmer weather and clam seas have been good for fishing in shore and off shore.
Bill from Swansboro caught A 15lb Cobia and Lynn from Reidsville caught A 9ld Hatteras Blue along with Sea Mullet, Spanish, and Croakers while fishing on the Bogue Inlet Pier.
The Cobia bite is great, you can see them swimming up and down the beaches looking for bait. They are catching them in the surf, in the Inlet around the Cape and around the turn basin.
The best bait is live Eels.
The Spanish fishing has been great up and down the beaches along the Cape and in the Inlets. Some Kings have been caught in the shipping channel and just off the Cape.
The Flounder are showing up in the inlets just across from the Coast Guard Station and along the Sholes at the cape and at the AR15 wreck drifting. Live bait works best.
Off shore there is lots of Dolphin Wahoo Tuna and more and more Marlin are being caught.
I will be live at the Big Rock Landing all week starting today, we will be keeping our eyes on The Flore Plane with Anthony the Sea Creature & Curtis. Maybe one of these guys will get a chance to weigh in a Big Blue!
