Gannon Medwick

Gannon Medwick joined Storm Team 9 as the Morning and Noon Meteorologist in October 2004.

From Hurricane Gloria to a crippling 1993 blizzard, the Wilmington, Delaware native has seen plenty of wild East Coast weather.  By junior high school, Gannon knew he wanted to pursue a career in meteorology.

Gannon completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Penn State University in 2003 and worked briefly as an on-camera meteorologist in Pennsylvania and Louisiana before joining WNCT.  Gannon is thrilled to be forecasting in eastern North Carolina and tracking the same challenging East Coast weather patterns that sparked his early interest in meteorology.

In spare time, Gannon enjoys playing and watching sports, gardening, cooking and traveling.  He, his wife, daughter, and boxer-mix dog live in Pitt County.
