TOWNS/COUNTIES:
  • Lenoir County is accepting collections and donations at two trash convenience sites, one at 2118 Robinson Road and the other at 475 Fairgrounds Road.  Drop off donations on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. and on Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. through November 1st
  • New Bern – the No. 7 Township Fire-Rescue & Women’s Auxiliary at the fire station will run donations Monday-Thursday from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m.. They ask only that you bring cleaning products or donate funding to buy the items.
  • The Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office, Pitt County Sheriff’s Office, Onslow County Sheriff’s Office,  Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office all collecting supplies to aid victims impacted by Helene.
  • Beaufort: Pleasant Hill Community Center – donations are accepted Monday-Friday from 4:00-6:00 p.m..
  • New Bernnon-perishable goods and cleaning supplies will be collected at five sites listed below. All facilities are open Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm unless otherwise noted.
City Hall, 300 Pollock Street
West New Bern Recreation Center, 1225 Pine Tree Drive
Pleasant Hill Community Center, 424 NC 55 Hwy – donations accepted Monday through Friday from 4pm-6pm
New Bern Farmer’s Market, 421 S. Front Street – donations accepted Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8am-5pm
BUSINESSES:
  • Keystone Management Company will be collecting donations at all of their 18 locations in Greenville.  They will be driving all donations up in two weeks (october 21st)
  • Magnolia Place OBGYN in Greenville is collecting items – 2605 West Arlington Blvd
  • 34 Degrees North in Cedar Point
  • 77 West in Emerald Isle
  • The Salty pirate in Emerald isle
  • Bar 1957 in Emerald Isle
  • Colony Tire Training Center in Edenton
  • Century21 Zaytoun-Raines in association with the Bridgeton Methodist Church, Bridgeton, NC and Neuse River Region Association of Realtors, is organizing relief trucks to help our neighbors in Western NC.  Drop off locations are: Century 21 Zaytoun-Raines, 312 S Front Street, New Bern or Neuse River Region Association of Realtors, 1433 S Glenburnie Rd, New Bern NC
  • Uptown Brewing Company is using their space as a donation drop spot as well.
  • Pitt Street Brewing is donating $10,000 of the net proceeds from their Oktoberfest beer to hurricane relief
CHURCHES
  • Core Creek Free Will Baptist Church in Cove City is doing a supply drive – 4-6pm every day (210 Trenton Rd)
  • Temple Church – partnered with the North Carolina Baptists on Mission (NCBOM) to raise funds and collect goods for those in need. Contributing financially is a direct way to help with the rebuilding and supporting people are currently displaced and volunteers who are serving them – go to https://baptistsonmission.org/.
ANIMAL SHELTERS
  • Colonial Capital Humane Society in New Bern has opened a 50/50 raffle to benefit Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville. They have taken in dogs from our area from time to time and now they have lost literally everything.  There is a link on CCHS’s Facebook page to buy tickets.
  • The Beaufort County animal shelter in Washington is stepping up to help pets affected by Hurricane Helene in the Western part of the state.  The shelter is now accepting donations of pet food, bedding and other supplies to be sent to shelters overwhelmed by the storm.
  • The Pitt Friends van is in front of Carolina Caliber on Firetower, from 8-5pm , taking donations for both pets and people!
  • Beaufort Community Cat Project has collaborated with PetDocks Veterinary Hospital in Morehead City to get as many supplies as possible out west.  Donation boxes can be found at Beaufort Veterinary Hospital and Beaufort Pet Provisions in Beaufort, including PetDocks in Morehead City.
