Pitt County K9 Academy offers Grooming, Boarding, Training and Doggie Daycare for your pets.
Grooming Salon conveniently located on 650 E. Firetower Rd in the little shopping center in front of Champion Gym. Best Groomers in the area! We have folks traveling from little Washington and Edenton NC to Greenville to bring their pups to our Groomers!
Boarding/Training/Doggie Daycare located off Frog level Rd near the Red Oak Fire Department. We have had dogs come from all over the state to be trained by our staff. Good Folks come to bring the pups for daycare, by the end of the pups be dog tired! Boarding we have someone on site 24 hr a day and send out daily reports cards on the pups to keep owners informed.
Humane Society of Eastern Carolina
The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina’s mission is to serve as a safe haven for homeless and neglected pets until they find their forever home and to serve as a resource to the community. By educating the public about issues pertaining to animals, we feel that we can work towards the elimination of over breeding of dogs and cats and teach owners to be responsible pet owners. At the same time, we hope to facilitate adoptions of pets to good homes so that we can allow more unwanted animals to find a temporary home with us.
Friends of the Pitt County Animal Shelter
Friends of the Pitt County Animal Shelter, better known as Pitt Friends, is a 501(c)3 non-profit group that was set up to help the animals at the high kill shelter in Pitt County. We help with many things at the shelter and we also have foster homes that pull animals from the shelter to keep them until good homes are found.

Scooby is a 75-pound puppy – only 11 months old! He’s a little scared of everything but that doesn’t stop him from being a brave and curious explorer! Scooby has been quick to learn commands and plays nice with other animals!

Hercules is a big ole 75 pound lap dog. He whole heartedly doesn’t believe that he is that heavy. His favorite treat is peanut butter. He is good with other dogs and cats. He is extremely smart, and very goofy.

She has had some past trauma but isn’t letting that stop her from showing all the love and affection she can. She is great with dogs, cats, and children. Fleurty Girl is super-sweet, super vocal and super-unique: She has extra toes on each paw! It’s a condition called “Polydactyly.” These are the cats of Hemmingway, and sea captains in the 1930s used to have them on their boats for good luck!
